The plugin delay is a fixed 8192 samples no matter what quality level setting or sample rate you choose. There is no difference at all at any setting whatsoever.
Just ran a test here on the timing delay to see if there is some strange behavior going on... None. No way no how...
So how are you getting out of sync? Perhaps you have a latency aduster installed that you forgot about?
Has been this way since before the 10-band era...

And that's exactly what it is. The 4 band version has none of the optimised code and as you can insert several PLParEQ's in series, why bother with the 4 band (well, several versions will affect the sound quality a bit when running in 44,1kHz or 48kHz as it'll be upsampling and downsampling several times)?tech44 wrote: funny because this:
made it sound like "the 4-band is outdated, but the 3-band isn't why don't you use that instead?"However, it is by now horriby out of date with respect to capabilities both soundwise and speedwise. So why not use the 3-band?
Cheers!

I'm cool... As I stated earlier, I promised the German Keyboard magazine that I would keep it available through at least the end of the year...

thanks for the reply - OK - again some tests on the delay compensation. Still problems for me but...dbmcclain wrote:The plugin delay is a fixed 8192 samples no matter what quality level setting or sample rate you choose. There is no difference at all at any setting whatsoever.

... you're right too. Always 8192 are correctly reported to the host. Tracktion writes the compensation values in ms in the tracks and converting them in samples results correctly in 8192.
Also this works with normal audio tracks. It is still a special problem with my multiout-drum vst within a Tracktion specific Plugin-Rack. It is just strange that there are no problems with other EQs like posihfopit or nyquistEQ which have smaller delays just by replacing them (no hidden latency adjusters)
But at this point I think it maybe just a Tracktion specific problem and I should try to post in the other forum to ask the Tracktion guys.
Your Plugin seems to work correctly, so sorry for the
efforts.

i refuse to believe this. there is something out there, maybe deep in the amazon, but there has to be something that will bring back my right ear.wm wrote: as you'll know once the hairs are gone they never grow back

Sadly, those little hairs migrate. They move down the cochlea valley, through the river of wax and take root on the outer ear where they grow thick and ugly and scare small children. If only they would migrate back upstream.
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

ok, i'll try anything 3 times. my 2 earlier posts probably got missed with all the fussing about hearing, but i'm still hoping for a response. thx!
i have sonar 4 and have some trouble with the 3 band v1.8 not allowing the audio to start when i hit play. sonar sends that message "audio stopped." i have to hit play several times before it finally comes on. it was mostly happening just after inserting the plugin (v1.7) but now it happens after every time i hit stop.

The alternative is to render your VSTi sequence first to audio, then mix it as an audio track with PLParEQ applied. May be a bit more inconvenient but---Tracktion is still really in the debugging phase on a lot of fronts. External and ReWire MIDI triggering has improved but still has some problems, for instance.naturestoned wrote: Also this works with normal audio tracks. Your web site IS buggy and letters DO go into black area. I'm surprised with your responce. Like you don't care... Also, on "hearing restoration" thing I see you'd rather go into a looong dispute then simply make it easier on yourself there (and on your potentioal clients). You need to learn a lot more about marketing then you know just as you still need to do a lot more to get the plug in its "ready" state and just as much or more you had to learn about VST programming shortly after the link to your website was posted here and people started betatesting for you. Teke it easy, learn. Remember, it was not buggy in your opinion at the beginning and if something then it was host fault.. You're all the time balancing on the edge of ignorance. Good luck mate, but you really need to listen more then speak. Take this post to your benefit.dbmcclain wrote:Interesting that you are still harking on about the web site. I cannot see the problems you report using any of IExplorer, Camino, FireFox, and Safari.
