I need a VST host that ...

I want to play live guitar using using a laptop and a MIDI pedalboard, using tempo-synched delays, stutterers etc. We don't use a click track so I need to sync to the drummer's 'variations' in realtime

So, I need a host that can:

- instance VST effects chains
- switch between them
- change on the fly its master tempo receiving midi clock or midi time code
- a way to generate said midi clock in realtime by tapping (stomping) on a footswitch.

It all works if I use Guitar Rig, standalone. The second more than one plugin enters the picture and a host is needed, I'm pretty lost.

The best host to accomodate the routing I have in mind is Cubase, but it cannot receive midi clock, only MTC. Is there some kind of app that converts between them?
