Are there any major music events going on in the UK that people know about that would be worth getting down to. I know that I missed one in Bristol a few weeks ago, and I'm not really sure how to get into the loop of where they are going on. I think a nerd fest would be of great benefit to my learning. I'm not so much talking a gear fest, more the theory and new ideas and that stuff.

Events with theory? Isn't that just a Music theory course/degree. Not something you do in a day or two.

Any event I've been to has really just been about selling gear than anything else.

No I mean with leactures and stuff. My dad's a computer programmer and he goes to them all the time, to hear about new emerging technologies. I know that there was one regarding music making and Linux on in Bristol.
