I wish I had my old sig available...

I remember what it was. But I stand by my statement. It is all of those things to me.

Just to make it seem less biased, I feel the same about Rhino, Mtron, and to a somewhat lesser degree sytrus.

hey SAP, I'm waiting for my copy right now

could you please post some comments about the added content?

Great news. I am almost at the point where I can not control myself anymore. I just gonna have to order it. Tell us more about the content. I am a bit worried that one of the selling points are the inclusion of Garritan's GPO samples. I already have GPO, so that would not hold any benefit for me. I also have P5V2 with the basic samples (which are very good I agree). Is the rest still worth the (amazing cheap) upgrade price?

well then, I'm glad you're happy. :)
what exactly is Dimension Pro anyways?

I personally find the GPO stuff to be average to pretty good, though I think the harpsichord is nice. The real gems are the world instruments and and addons to the existing content IMHO. The bulk of the content is not GPO related. the sampling is top notch and very clean. I dont have it hear in front of me to give specific patches to look out for, I will try to post it when I get home today.

The demo's up on the Cakewalk site are very promising. All synths should have this type of demo where you can audition the presets on line.

I can see similarities, and I dont have/nor have I tried wusikstation to know how similar. I think that the difference is that Dimension is more of a sampler with synth features and from what I can tell wusikstation is more of a synth with sampler features. The content and ability to layer/build monsterous sounds is what really makes dimension what it is. The envelopes and efx really make dimension what it is.

For those who do not know what it is I can just say it is one of the greatest synths I had for many a moon. OK I have not that many, but anyway. Even a fool like me can easilly program and tweak it. Preset freaks (me included) have a ball. Not only the high quality samples, but the filters are so easy to use. And then I have the watered down P5V2 version only - which is not watered down at all. It is very powerfull. The pro upgrade is comming at such a silly cheap price that I can not see myself holding off any longer.

OK, I'm off to place my order. See ya later.

I'm also pleased. Just got a mail from Cakewalk that old customer can get Dimension Pro for 249 USD.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!

I was planning to get it but they tried to slap another £12 shipping on me which is ridiculous - I might still go for it when I've got over being mad.

But - is it worth it - I have plenty of samples already (with kontakt 2 etc) so I would like to know is the majority of the new content samples or are there also some great new pads, synths, dimensions type sounds, evolvers etc too?
