There is a free PSP SpringVerb plug-in on the November Future Music US Edition disc. Did anyone pick this up? What's people's opinion? I think this is a stripped down EasyVerb.
It was $8 so I grabbed it. I'd be adding to my Sonar 4 arsenal:
Sonitus Reverb
Lexicon Pantheon
Glaceverb
Ambience
Kjaerhus Classic Reverb
Convo Boy Free
Silverspike RoomMachine
Where does this fit in the quality of things. I'm in the middle of upgrading my system so I wont be able to play with it until I get my box up. In a couple of months I'll look at getting A) Sonar 5 so I'll be getting Perfect Space (Pristine Space Lite). And then a little later I'll look at something nice in the $200 or less range: ArtsAcoustic, R66, Silverspike.

I think you are right that the spring verb is a stripped down version of the EasyVerb. That has mainly spaces, also plates and spring verbs. I tend to use the various spaces. You might like to know they also have a free pianoverb on their site. as to where it fits in quality wise, I can't really say as it's the only verb I have, apart from SIR and R5 verbs and they are both slightly different things.

It's a spring reverb. That's it. I don't think it's a stripped down anything. As far as a spring reverb goes, it's alright. Not great and probably not good enough to run out and buy the magazine.

It is the spring algorithm from Easyverb. It sounds good and is worth the price of the magazine.

I assume it is the same one that comes with CM magazine. If so, it is the spring model from Easyverb. So you can download the demo of Easyverb and try it out. It's alright as a reverb, but it is weak as a spring reverb (as in sounds very little like an actual spring reverb). Depending on your feel for spring reverbs, that might actually be a good thing.
