Hey there & welcome to the public beta test of our new plug-in GetaBlitch coded by our newest member: Larsby *applause*

Image

GetaBlitch is a sequenced gate effect that is different than traditional "trance gates" in two significant ways: first, it uses MIDI to sequence the gate, rather than a built-in step sequencer; second, it gates the left and right channels of a stereo signal independently and potentially simultaneously.

and well what can I say it comes in two flavours... one tastes like Windows and the other one like an Apple

we hope you like it - please report any bugs you find

have fun,
mully

EDIT: okay it works now... sorry again ;)

great, a new release of BBA :)

and it's a handy little tool again, nice that the gate can be controlled for each channel individually.
just did a quick check in the eXT-demo, works like a charm there..
btw. how about the BBA-skin for eXT? ;)

yup good idea with the eXT skin.... but I guess it'll be a while till I have time for it... but one day or another I will make a decent BBA skin for eXT... but since there are so many good once now I won't rush things ;)

Just as a quick tip for those getting into GetaBlitch-- I'm sure many of you already figured this out, but if you pick a MIDI drum track, you can use the different parts of the 'kit' in order to trigger GB.

So, for example, maybe you have a nice closed hi-hat pattern and a nice snare pattern. Set the snare to L and the hat to R by setting them to the correct note. (I can't remember what they are offhand, but most hosts make it easy for you to figure out). Set GB to be the same channel as your MIDI drum part, and you're off to the races. The source material is now gated as a hi-hat/snare pattern.

Take the same source material and either keep it the same or pitch-shift or otherwise effect it, and put it on another track with GB, and select (for example), the kick drum and the OPEN hi-hat instead.

Instant rhythmic madness!

Of course, in a modular host like Tracktion and (I assume) eXT, you should be able to accomplish this within one track instead of spanning across 2.

...a fan as always!!!

I actually did a little something with the plug, playing around.

Nothing to fancy, just different effects on the different drum elements.

The drums are all GetaBlitch, exept the straight basedrum, that is unprocessed.

The guitar/base-ish is manupulated by a smartelectronix plug. anyways here is the CHOOOON

Crayon and Monster Chorus are Delphi plugs (I think), so they wont convert easily. (neither to mac nor au)
There are currently 2 os x plugs, neither of them AU.

I could make an AU version of GetaBlitch, but regarding what you have to do .... I'll think of something :hihi:

Yeah, ok, my mistake, sorry. I was thinking of all them other plugins that are made in delphi I think. Good thing I added that comment in a () so I dont look like a total idiot :)

But the AU can be fixed, that is, if there is enough ppl wanting it, and then I'd have to get a AU host up and running so I can test it.

I think there is still a fully working demo of RAX that is only limited to one AU instrument and one AU plug,,
http://www.grantedsw.com/rax/
If you tell him your into converting all of the BETA bugs to AU,, maybe you can do a deal where by you get a free copy of RAX and he gets to bundle all of the BETABUGS with his product,,

Hi folks.

GetaBlitch doesn't show up in the midi output list of Nuendo2/SX2.
