im after a vst insert fx that subtly changes the pitch a la tape wobble...like the fx you get by assigning an lfo to an osc pitch on a synth....
similar to tapestop but with an lfo to control the up and down....like a grainy vibrato fx
is this making sense?

yeah, try my chorus, phaser or even mod digital delay (xhipeffects, xhip.cjb.net)
any other quality phaser or mod delay which allows you to disable feedback, and doesnt have anything stupid going on will work too. (hah, which is funny because this means very few phasers and chorus or mod delays)
although a higher quality effect could be achived with some stuff i'm thinking of, i dont think anybody has bothered to code this yet. why not just run it through your tapes and then back to the pc? a bit of work i know, but you're get the 'authentic' effect then :)

soniccouture wrote:yes they are, much much better. they work a t a micro level and have extremely fine resolution. They are really cool, once you get your head around what they can and can't do. Even using them to finely modulate a controller is cool, cos they are not restricted to a resolution of 127.

Delayifier* has a 'flutter' control which does exactly what you're after; it also has adjustable HF rolloff. I've used it as a tape sim with all the delays turned off.
*I can't remember who made it but you should be able to find it on a search here.

(I'm throughly impressed with your previous works so any combo of aciddose/tape/phaser can't be bad)

It isn't Mac only, GlennO posted the link to the PC version in a thread well over a year ago- I guess he never got it up on his site. Maybe PM him. I use it all the time (on PC), i is a great plug-in.MrM wrote:Delayfier (Mac only) @ http://www.greenoak.com/vst.html
