Bought a new hard drive. Fresh OS install. Installed FLStudio 5.02c and I keep gettin the following error:

Access violation at address HEX in module 'FLEngine.dll'. Read of address HEX.

I'm using XP SP2, and I've already disabled DEP.

Any idea's what could cause this?

I think you just published your FLS user name inadvertantly by using a whole screen shot of the program. Might wanna rethink that....

Check the forms at Flstudio's website. There is a thread on this - You need to update from 5.02c to 5.02f. Apparently, your not the only one with this problem.

Here is a link to the download:

I would recommend doing an unistall + removal of all fl related registry entries before doing this. If you still have the original reg file from when you purchased, this shoulden't be a problem.

Laters, mate.

Just completely uninstalled 5.02c and installed 5.02f.

Same thing happens.

When loading something into the slicer and going to tools/chop while the audio is looping I get the same error.

I read a post on the FL Forum where people were getting the same error. I posted there also.

I didn't get any responses, so that's when I thought I would try KVR.

Try super happy fun registry removal(Now on PS2)!

This is odd indeed - I am running 5.02c without any problems. Been working fine since the day that update came about. Maybe try reverting back to an older version of the FLengine.dll? I still got the old 5.02 installation somewhere on my hardrive. Not sure if that would give you even more errors.

Sounds like some other people noticed the Access Violation here

I wonder what happened to this post (which contained a workaround....)

There is no spork.

Reinstalling the Delta 1010 drivers (same driver version I had previously) seemed to fix the problem.
