I wanted to create percussions that not only would sound great and offer versatility when sequencing. But that would also be fun to play in realtime on a keyboard or a drum pad with the velocity layers.

It's named Sidekick because it's a great add-on to any acoustic or electronic drums/percussions kits. Even though it features plenty of kick drums, some snares and toms, the bulk of this set is made of original and unique percussive sounds and FX.

There are 285 sounds including 152 with velocity layers (from 2 to 8, average 4 or 5) for a total of 809 samples and it is sold for $9.99 US.

Ooops, I forgot but it is also a good occasion to get our new Quad Zamp 1.1 drum sampler, the multiple audio outs version, as it is included with every purchase.

I will post some as soon as possible. Glad that you find it interesting, and it is IMHO .

Tried the demo this morning & really liked it! The sounds are very electronic sounding & there's a good variety between both the more standart drums & the fxs. Pass it trought TriDirt & I had a cool distorted "break" beat very quickly in FL Studio.

It's on my buy list.

Good work!

getting interesting results with the random function in dk+ on the pitched hits, i find the kits really well suited and fun to the dk+ step sequencer, the fxcritters are pretty cool sounds randomized, some of my fav sounds so far.

With the random function in DK+, are you using the same sound at its different velocity levels in one pad or different sounds loaded on the same pad?

Two more demos made with AlgoMusic M42:

Two instances of the M42 each with the SFO loaded with the Sidekick Electronic percussions soundfont. DCO is disabled on both.

One instance and only 2 samples used. The Pulsar is modulating the pitch (effect similar to our own Quad Zamp) and the delay is delaying.

Another MP3 made with 4 samples in the new freeware S16 step sequencer On almost every step, each sample is either transposed, reversed or panned differently from the previous step. That was very easy and quick to do with the S16.
