Situation: i was processing audio file in SF, i turned on one of dx plugins, configured parameters and saved configuration as a preset. Problem: I want to bring that preset to other pc, but i can't find where it was saved [in my pc] in SF install directory! Maybe there is one file where all presets are written! or there is another directory, where SF presets can hide :( Please help

It depends which plug-in you used because you can save "internal" SF presets and also, depending of the plugs (like Waves for ex.) you can save via its built-in preset manager...
I don't think "internal" SF presets are usable in other programs (except probably ACID, VEGAS...)

Post

Reading again your question, it seems you used a plug-in chain and saved it, right? In this case, it's an internal chain preset and it can only be used in SF.

Isnt that what the Sony Preset Manager does that is part of the install options (also avalable on their web page)? I dont really know because I have never had a reason to use it or even bother running it but by the name I would make a guess that it could probably do it.

hi
there is a freeware program made by sony to achieve the transport of sony's products presets from one computer to another. I think it is called vst preset manager or something like this. You can find it on their site.

Yep, just checked the doc and the SONY preset manager v2 does exactly that (but only for SONY internal FX's presets or FX chains). It helps when sharing SF, Acid or Vegas presets & FX chains on different machines and/or SONY progs.
You can find it on your SF install CD or from their website.
