Ok with the Gm chord, but I feel it more 'natural' playing the G Dorian scale than the G Minor scale. That Eb just doesn't fit.

Good point. However, there are three types of minor scales that I know of: natural minor, harmonic minor, and melodic minor.

The G minor scale you give above is the natural minor. I agree that the Eb doesn't fit, since in this case, the IV chord is C major.

The harmonic minor chord is G A Bb C D E F# G. In this case we flat the 7th (F# to F) to get the Gm7 chord, which is common. This fits the chords in the sequence.

(This is way more thinking than I usually do in my music! )

Well, I just use my scale recon plug to 'feed' my harmonizer plug.
And is this case, a scale of F Major in the G Dorian mode( tonic = Gm), is exactly what I need , thought I don't even need the tonic, as I'm just using intervals.

For the plug it's easier to tell me that it's in a given scale (where 'all' notes match), than giving me all the scales that are close but where this is flat and this is sharp.

You are just trying to make my life harder
