I just thought I could get me the demo when I remembered that I've got one of those oldschool P4s. Only 32 bit, how sad. Or will the 64bitSonar demo run on my oldschool peecee? Will check the Cakewalk site.
Please all you 64bitSonar users, post us some comparisson. Only switch one last time back to the poorsounding oldschool 32bit engine and make us a mixdown to compare, OK? Thank you.
Will it be OK to dither these superiour 64 bit files down to some oldschool cd format? You know this lame 16bit 44.1kHz stuff. Would really love to hear the difference. This would be THE argument for my new peecee. My wife will love it! Peace.
All the best, FRitz

These dumb religious threads wouldn't exist if instead of asking, people would grab a free compiler and add 2 bits of audio together. It's not very hard, it's a simple addition, and understanding is better than faith. Make your own opinion, but using logic (not the sequencer) and not your ears, because your ears are linked to your eyes & your mind.

Can you hear the voodoo, what you don't dare do, people? The witch doctor is whispering about demons in the digital summing, the panning laws are stirring from their graves...

Will Nuffco Audiophile be doing any joint ventures with Bob Lentini developer of SAW studio? I hope so. You guys could create the worlds most powerful audiophilonic products.nuffink wrote:That's the spirit, fritz.fritzman wrote:Sorry Tony, tony tony chopper wrote:These dumb religious threads wouldn't exist if instead of asking, people would grab a free compiler and add 2 bits of audio together. Zynewave Podium supported 64bit mixing last year... but you're right, Sonar is probably the only one that streams through plugins as well at 64bit floats, as the VST spec only supports 32bits apparently (Podium supports VST, not DX)Ron Kuper [Cakewalk] wrote:SONAR 5 is now the only DAW that both mixes and streams through plugins using 64-bit floats. I'd be curious to hear what the DAWSUM listeners would think about it.
Sound quality is a very subjective thing, your mileage may vary, etc, etc, but we've got a good number of customers who really think the SONAR 5 64-bit engine sounds way better than anything else out there.
So I take it the DX plugin spec supports 64 bit? I'm not a dev, by the way

dear Nuffco audiophile products co,
As a private investor I'm interested in your up and coming product line. We already sponsor such respectful and innovative product lines as http://www.altmann.haan.de/tubeolator/default.htm
and http://www.referenceaudiomods.com/Merch ... ode=VOLUME
We would like assurances that your products have been certified by Dr. Kirscher. There has also been interesting recent research about the use of foil hats in studio. The whole r'n'd team of Silver Rock Audio is backing up this design as is certain they could be used to catch stray floating bits in the studio as well. Keep in mind that curing the stray floats in the studio requires 20 days "burn in" perioid of the foil hat by the user. (taking off the hat will invalidate the effect)
