I'm looking for more music on par with what I've heard from Amon Tobin and Muziq (Mike Paradinas). Anyone know of any other electronica artists with intelligent compositions like them?

Or read Grooves magazine. Personally, I think that's the best source out there for that kind of music.

These are all excellent artists IMHO .

Flanger - (Burnt Freedman & Atom Heart)

Richard H.Kirk - (ex Cabaret Voltaire)- simply superb and high quality output of varied electronica.

Mouse on Mars - (start with Ideology)actually the whole back catalog is great.

Arovane - (particularly the last album "Lillies")

Monolake - (Polygon Cities + many other great releases)

MuM - (hard to describe great to listen too)

Autechre - depends on which CD release IMHO (I prefer the earlier material myself). Though they can be a bit of an aquired taste.

The Blackdog - search for the first two releases wen they where a duo.

MeatBeatManifesto - need I say more.

Matmos - musique concrete, field recording and "found" sound supremo's . Very interesting techniques deployed in there compositions and rather oddball but very good. (Worked with Bjork on Vespertine).

In all the artists i've listened to, I dont think anyone can compare to Amon. BUT i have sometimes heard some similar stylings in artists like Bonobo or Funki Porcini (labelmates of Tobin)

That's why I listed the artist's that I did.
They all have a strong unique and indiviual style yet all of them produce extremely "high quality" music in general.
He did ask for "music on par with" Muziq and Tobin, not music that sounded the same as.
And I'll stand by my claim that those artists are very much on par with the two mentioned.
Monolakes "Polygon Cities" for example is a superb release and Robert Henke has a very unque style.

Fax, I wasn't introducing discussion! I was just saying that Tobin is unique.

btw, I also own some Monolake albums, and I like Momentum quite a lot. I must listen to Polygon Cities.

I also like Meat Beat Manifesto a lot, I own all his albums, though I've been very very disappointed by his post-Actual Sounds+Voices albums.
