this thing sounds GREAT! I liked guitar rig 1 much better than amblitube, but this thing rocks.

of course, hi price tag, and look! a new footcontroller (sort of crappy for those who alraedy have the one with guitar rig 1 eh?)

but the sound is great, and i hear there is a new "oversampling" mode for high quality...

This is the way I'm going instead of AT2, Maybe Native will have some competitive crossgrades. It would be easy for them to get converts with the way IK has bungled AT2.

well, granted though, amplitube came out first, and was definetly a great vst, but Guitar rig improved on the whole thing tenfold. I was sort of hopeing that amplitube 2 would come out and blow it away, but it looks like guit rig 2 will be coming first...

It's surprisingly light on the CPU, Hink. While I don't have GR2 (yet), GR1 with long dual amp chains, multiple heads, cabs and the like runs great on my ancient <1 GHz PIII The amps, cabs and reverbs are the high CPU items (and since you can run up to 8 cabs at once with an amp, it can get crazy). The highest load I've seen yet is about 60% for a stereo chain with two heads, four cabs and multiple reverbs per side...
