pseudograins v1.08
-----------------------
[+] Stupid bug fix, snapshots are correctly restored now when reloading sessions containing pseudograins.
[+] added "old version" accumulation method.. it's the checkbox near the # slice label.
Really... this just a fix for a really annoying snapshot restore bug that slid for months... also it now includes the original accumulation method used in the very early version (the smaller sized one). This new accum option can lead to slightly different sounds because of the way it loops. All in all... it's still the same overly complicated, difficult to extract a decent sound out of, newbie confusing, piece of sample mangling shit! but I  it! :P

free of course... pseudograins v.108

thank you modulr - i've said it before, but it's still the case - i use it in almost everything i do. :)

(although admittedly maybe not to its fullest potential :hihi:)

great, thanks ModuLR! :)

i noticed that the gui still says 1.07 but i can live with that. ;)

you should check that you have replaced the dll... cos it definately says v1.08, also there are two more check boxes on the GUI next to the slice labels.

Hi ModuLR,

I like pseudograins a lot!! Thanks for creating it.

Would it be possible to rewrite it as a Kontakt 2 script? 8)

cheers,

ModuLR
THanks for putting time in for this plug. It never works correctly for my host though. I can never produce any sound from it though. I use Orion Platinum and each time I try to load in a wave, I get no output.
I read more than post = I listen more than I talk

Yes, that can be quite tricky. Carefully read the 'manual' by Mod. You have to set it up exactly as he describes otherwise... :(

It crashes when I click START here in eXT.. :(

Post

I'd like to try this thing out but I've never managed to get it to do anything in either Project5 or Sonar. Anyone else had any luck with that?

Post

like it was said before ... RTFM ;) .. no really, you HAVE to read it. this plug is not too complex but it's not easy either to get it to work.

ok, i just checked in eXT (no crash on pressing start btw.). ModuLR already implemented some basics in the newer versions, so here is what to do to make it play.

- press "load" and select a wav-file
- press "start"
- drag the slider "pitch control" (red - left side) to the right side until pitch control displays 1
- drag the slider "pitch control" (green - right side) to the right side until pitch control displays 1

the sample should be played. now read the readme and get to know what the controls do. ;)

Thanks RAW, tried that but I still can't get it to make a sound in P5 v2, Sonar or VSTHost (also crashes VSTHost from time to time).
Has ANYONE managed to get this to work in Sonar?

i only checked vsthost as i haven't got the other hosts, but following my own instructions made it to play the sample flawlessly.. did you really follow the instructions and do you really have the latest version v1.08?

Post

Tried again and managed to get it to work for a short time in VSTHost, then it stopped working for no apparent reason after loading a couple of different files. Oh well. Probably doesn't like my system. I've spent enough time on this now - moving on!
