Sound On Sound - Ableton Live Column Starts December2005-11-14T15:26:04+00:00Last week I enquired with SoS about the possibility of a regular column for users of Live. Here's the response I received this morning:
Funnily enough there is exactly such a column starting in the December issue of the magazine.
Yay!! polyslaxhttps://www.kvraudio.com/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=10972
By the way, the December issue is due out here in the UK tomorrow morning
I wonder who will be writing the column? Assuming its as good as the others this will be a real treat for Ableton users... the Reason column (and tutorials which usually follow the main column) is outstanding - some very helpful articles there! I think the others are well thought of too.
I seriously hope it's not Craig Anderton. As likeable he is on several other things, it'd be a big letdown... hopefully SOS has had the sense in getting people that are doing something not-out-of-the-box stuff with Live.
There's so much to Live, and getting hear what people whose productions I consider a good showcase would be interesting. Sadly from what I've so far courtesy of Mr. Anderton leads me to believe that... oh shucks, we'll see soon enough

JMH
Now available with added Inherently Suspect Justification!
It's by Ingo Vauk, who wrote the instructive Live 5 review last month (and the Live 4 review last year). This month's feature is about "Streamlining Your Workflow" and looks pretty helpful.
The pattern of a "Notes" column followed by a tutorial has been streamlined so that the "Notes" columns (for all seven pieces of software now covered) have been removed. The Tutorial IS the column. There is now a small boxout in each tutorial that includes "News" from the developers, forums, etc.
