Setting for Browser pane width
Here's something that I think will be useful.

Could we have a Settings value to change the width of the Browser and Loops panes - as some of my loop names are long and I cannot see which is which in the current panes.

Values:
1 = as at present
2 = double width

Good idea.
I'll add 0 = hidden.

Some of small ones . . .
a) Change "max attack (ms)" and "max release (ms)" to "maximum"
- makes it tidier, and consistent with the Pitch parameter

b) a new Preference Setting - "keep slice selected when clicked - "yes/no
- -this saves having to remember to Shift+click the slice when you want to insert it several times
DarkStar, ... Interesting, if true

Looks like DarkStar has things well spoken for, but I do have a couple myself. :P

FR1 - ability to select multiple slices in an arrangement (by holding down Shift and LMB each one). This would allow setting of identical parameters in multiple slices and for dragging of multiple slices around at once within the arrangement.

FR2 - when hovering over a slice with a parameter button selected (volume, pan, etc.), allow for scroll button setting of the parameter value in, say, 5% increments. Holding down the Shift key and scrolling would allow for more precise adjustments, say 1% increments.

FR3 - show a confirmation dialog when clearing an arrangement. (RMB on the [Clear] button when a parameter is selected is supposed to only reset that parameter to default values for all slices, however I have experienced times where the entire arrangent is wiped out instead.) Might also make the confirmation configurable so as not to impede workflow for those that don't want it.

Thanks Jacob for listening and providing a great product!

Thanks for your comments Bradster.

FR1: already on the list
FR2: thought about it, but I realized it would interfere with the current behavior of the mouse wheel in the arranger, that is: scrolling tracks up and down - people don't expect parameters to be altered when scrolling down.
FR3: the clear button clears the arrangement. right clicking it removes all events. The reset button is the one you need for resetting parameters.

I will add the FR about confirmation dialogs to the list, they can be useful in many cases.

Hello and sorry for bringing up this topic :)

After playing a bit with LiveSlice today, I found out that there has to be a "User is stupid, prevent everything bad" option... or Undo :P Really, I managed to select a new sample over the old one and lost some things I was trying... Fortunately I'm just getting to know LS so no real harm done.
A guy with serious GAS and lots of unused VSTs. But if I someday need them...

This sounds very expensive and complicated, especially the "everything" part. I might go for just the undo. It's already on the list actually :-)
