Why? Because they hate their day jobs, but enjoy doing music, perhaps.
Fortune is maybe asking a bit much, but a modest living from noodling about with a guitar or some plugins? Who wouldn't want that?

Exactly. I don't want the fame but a bit of fortune would make a nice change to this life of poverty.bastien wrote:Why? Because they hate their day jobs, but enjoy doing music, perhaps.

if you look at music like a lifespan, it's my opinion that the fame/fortune stage is childhood through young adult and is the dream the of dreamers and underdeveloped artist...as an artist develops and grows you do reach a point where you look back and realise that music has been much, much more throughout your life...but until you have enough time under your belt it's hard to see that or understand it...I wrote a song about it "Plight of a Dreamer"...my favorite line from the song is "it's gotten way too hard to be a dreamer now that I've outgrown all my dreams"...
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
