There are so many plugs nowadays and a lot of good one´s but there are some that are really crap!
Please report which plugs that crash your host/system don´t forget to report what host you use!
Help us to avoid bad plugs and to push the developers to find the bugs.

Interesting question, and from a Host Dev's pointmusicmaster wrote:Please report which plugs that crash your host/system don´t forget to report what host you use!

of view a very relevant one. The host I've developed
is a really simple, lightweight one. I've spent a
significant portion of the development time on
working around dodgy plugin issues though.
VSampler 3 is the worst. SynthEdit plugins are *bad*
as well. The SE implementation for automation is
really shoddy and I had to dirty my code quite a bit
to support it. I think runner up is E-mu Proteus LE.
Cheers,
Bram

I was gonna suggest this... for me it crashes using Minihost.

Absynth 2 crashes Sonar 4 all the time - can't use Absynth there anymore. Even worse it also crashes FL Studio which is amazing: FL is one of the most stable and robust hosts out there.
Eve-1 "P4" edition also crashes Sonar, but the "non-P4" edition works fine.

Nobody expects the buggy plugin inquisition!John Vulich wrote:Who the f**k died and made you the head of the buggy plugin inquisition?
Um, anyway, several Arcdev plugins performed a great example of the way AudioMulch catches crashing VSTs.
'Mulch crashed in a very, very ugly way when I tried to export a .wav at 82,000 Hz with TbT's old master limiter. This was quite a while ago.
