Many pro audio users of certain programs and plugins
(waves bundle for example) actually recomend buying
the license to be legitimate, but using the warez
version, because it's actually more stable.
Pace has caused legitimate users in the industry to
lose money when it brought their system down during
a session.... sometimes even crippling the computer
altogether and forcing a re-install of the OS.
I'm not saying that all warezed programs are virus
free...but definitely, if it was a big problem, we'd
hear about it....I don't hear any more reports of
users catching virii through warez than through
legitimate channels.
As with anything D/L'd from the net, you should always
run it past a virus checker to make sure it's safe.
I agree with you about Pace, I don´t like Chalenge Response keys either. What if the producer goes bankrupt how do you register your software then?
