Just got the 3 band 1.99, sounds awesome!
I will use it as an insert too, on vocals, and freeze the track when I´m done Eqing.
As a mastering tool it has to be outstanding, have yet to try that myself.

Thank you so much for this great effect!

Andreas.

The EQ is sublime. Best eq anywhere on this planet, free, hardware (digital) or expensive.

Unfortunately the download link is now gone. You need to email the developer to get a copy.

So all these people raving about this plugin have spend $1000?! I can't even imagine spending that now. (already owning some pretty nice EQ's)

No - I've made a donation and spended 50$ for the free 3-Band version!

cheers,

edit: added version

You do realize that the 3 band version has a limited set of filter types compared to the full version, right?

Post

I will make the suggestion to bring out a 5-band-version with all features of the big brother for the half of the price.

That's the perfect solution for all who want full feature list but don't need all 10 bands in every channel or subgroup.

If you ask a tc powercore-user what he will do with 449 Euro, i can't imagine he would buy a sony oxford eq.

Because the PLParEQ5 will offer more features, more flexibility and a better sound for less money.

That's an argument, or .. not?

Yes, I did realize that - but I've written I've donated not purchased.

I've purchased the Cambridge EQ at 149$ (my work-horse for high and low cutting) and the PultecPro at 79$. Either EQs are great. But PLParEQ does some jobs even better, the available filter types in the free version help me improve my sound a lot.

David is a nice person and a responsive developer. Furthermore, this product has taken quality competition to the next level which will certainly push some other vendors to react (price and/or quality level). Altogether, these were my very personal reasons for donation. Some will call it naive - I don't mind. For me it's fair, just like giving a tip.

I see, what was I thinking!

I think your a good man for donating.
When my finacial situation improves i will do the same.
I wish i could be of some use to David myself.

Snooky... we had one person submit an e-mail address that failed to work after three different attempts with varying ways to get it to that person. None of our messages would go through the e-mail server on his/her end.

The e-mail addresss was

h8d6zaef001@sneakemail.com

If that was you, or in any event, if you still haven't seen a response from us, send us another note and I'll be sure to get you a copy of 1.99.

Cheers,

How are you all trying this out to know that it is so good? Is there a demo?

Hey soma,

there are two versions: 3band and 10band. The 10band costs $1000 and has some more features than the 3band. The 3band is free and available when you ask David by email giving a few details about yourself, read more about it a few posts up.

Best wishes, FRitz

no, there is a free 3-band version. there used to be a download link up at their site , but right now you have to email david directly, to get a copy, because he didn't like things being so anonymous and out of touch.
