Sorry, bit late to the party, but here's my opinion:sonicfire wrote: @ttoz: that could be a problem. but since i´m already sampling most of fx into the sounds i do not really need lfo and glide stuff for example. (ok, gliding perhaps).
but this should be supported by hopefully all big samplers that can import soundfonts? if not - okay, the sounds will rock anyway
Too much sampled LFOs and the likes IMO are no good idea as you'll lose things such as host syncing and tweakability.
Sure, especially when it comes to slowly sweeping pads, host sync might not be all *that* important, yet, personally I don't like too much things being printed into a sample.
Plus, the library would be of *way* more worth if the patches for the most commonly used samplers (Kontakt, HALion, most likely Wusikstation and probably EXS24) would be making use of the internal tweaking and modulation options.
In addition, a "generic" SF2 version would do good.
Also, one question (not sure whether it's been asked and answered allready): How many key layers are you using per patch? Softsamplers such as EXS, HALion and Kontakt aren't doing *all* that great when they've got to do too much internal pitching, so sampling keyzones in tritones at least would be a must (better: major or even minor thirds), especially in case your source samples allready got some movements going on.
Btw, if you need some help in setting up dedicated patches for some of the mentioned samplers, I could help you out with the Kontakt and EXS formats.
To somewhat demonstrate my point regarding dedicated patches for each sampler, here's a Kontakt pad I just did:

As you can hear in the first 4 bars (which are more or less just the plain samples), the source material is rather rich allready, but it's still open for further modulations. From bar 5 on I'm turning the ModWheel up/down, which is lowering cutoff, raising resonance, raising step modulator intensity (which is again controlling cutoff) and fading in phaser and delay sends. In addition, the step modulator and delay are synced to host tempo (that's why I added the lame beat).
Personally, I just love patches that change a bit to something else when you use the ModWheel (or whatever modulation source).
