Just only heard that term used for Rebirth, which BTW, I originaly thought the thread was gonna be about when I initially read the title.

I voted DR008, but you missed the Ext sampler which I use more & more.

I use 'SFZ' and I'm thinking to upgrade with sfz+
I'd like to try DR008 'cause it got good reviews...

still on the version 1 of Battery, ...+ Waldorf Attack, + an old Roland R-8M percussion module,+ sometimes swarplug for tablas and other indian percussions,+ other eclectic and contrasting rythmic lines ( as loops or one shots )

- usually alternate or cumulate many different sound sources
( sound modules as well as VSTis with contrasting effects routing to diversify both basic drum line and counter-rythms )

...to be honest, not always a useful method, but to be considered as an excellent exercise of style and experimentation !

You mean you didn't get anything from that battery manual that someone posted in an earlier thread?

By your logic, we are to assume that if you can't understand how something works, it must not work at all?

When you've got Kontakt there's really not much need for a dedicated drum sampler. If you know what I mean....
