Im not sure what your service is in Florida but pay-pal allows people to tranfer money online from a personal savings or cheque account.

My 20.00 was sent via the link provided a few posts ago...it had paypal listed so I used that. WOO HOO!!!!

As soon as your transaction finishes, our server in Florida sends you an e-mail verification along with "license" codes that mean nothing in this case. But you can identify the receipt as being from us because our URL is shown clearly in bold characters at the top of the invoice, and all your personal details that you entered, sans credit card numbers, are repeated for your visual verification.

I sure hope we don't have scam artists taking advantage of these good efforts by people operating out of enlightened self-interest.

Okay, I see what happened... I just went through the order process myself, and sure enough PayPal is listed as one of the accepted payment methods. Also, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

So it looks like PayPal is already in place!!!

DAVE, WATCH OUT FOR PAYPAL,
Make sure you transfer money to your account on a regular basis.
Paypal has class action suits against it right now...

Thanks for the warning... but actually, I never directly handle any of these transactions. I have a service in Florida that scrapes a percentage of all my sales, as do the banks and credit card companies. And then once a month (I hope!) they send me whatever is left....

Just to confirm, is a donation, as it regards to the matter at hand (compilers), time sensitive? Does it matter if it's made today or at the end of the week, for example?

I'm asking because I'll most likely send a check.....which takes time (for delivery).

Yes, I'm going out on a credit limb on this one... I won't be paid for another month anyway, and we don't want to wait that long. But donations are accepted whenever you choose to make them.

We now have a total of $260 donations + $260 matching funds in the pool, and so now we are almost 20% of the way to the final goal!! Great work for such a short time!

Let's rename this the "Put Dave Back on the HotSeat" campaign!
