I know i can setup Trollo itself to coincide with the notes on the matrix cells for triggering, but it would be so much quicker if one can press a midi learn button (or right click/learn etc.)and assign the matrix cells to notes that way.

Edit: Take Energy XTs Live mode for example. One can assign custom Midi notes or QWERTY keys to trigger arrangements/tracks. It's not locked in to specific notes. This would really be a handy feature for LiveSlice.
IE: R. CLick a cell:
-assign note
-assign key
Select either one and LiveSlice waits for an input.

you can easily change the range for playing arrangements on the setup-page.
but it's a nice idea anyway, and midi-learn is already on the list.

while i checked the possibility to change the range, i got two new FRs:
- when i lower the "Last Note" (therefore less than 24 notes), still all arrangements are labelled, even those at the end which don't play anymore.. could that be changed so only playable arrangements are labelled?
- a "Lock range" button would be handy, so if you alter the first or last note, the other end gets changed along keeping the same range all the time (same for play slices perhaps)

agreed. I like the Locked range idea.

i just thought of something else dealing with cells, have an option to select the amount of cells visible in the matrix (like the cells in Battery).
If we can have it so there is an infinite amount (like tracks in a sequencer) that would be handy as well. Of course then we would need an option for more than one controller to trigger the cells

Midi Learn for arrangement Matrix
Right now you can assign a note range to control arrangements. In most cases this is much faster than setting up midi learn one by one. Actually I think it's just as easy to configure trollo to output the correct note range than to do midi-learn one arrangement at a time - you can simply save a preset for trollo that works the way you want it to.
At some point I will do a midi learn for arrangements (that will override the note-range setting), but only after imeplementing midi-learn for the other controls (mute/solo/random/volume/pitch)
still all arrangements are labelled
- I agree, I should check against the configured range before labelling.
a "Lock range" button would be handy

definately - but I really, really want to get on with live audio recording - added to the list.
select the amount of cells visible in the matrix
I cannot allow an infinite amount of arrangements, as arrangements are VST programs (fxp's) and the standard dictates that a plugin must have a finite amount of those. Currently Liveslice has 64, so I can make it configurable up to this maximum amount.
I can increase this amount to 128 or 256 with nearly no effort though.

yep, those above are just minor improvements which don't need to be there soon. and we all know that you are doing great prioritising the FRs and concentrating at the most wanted things first.
thanks! :)

Cool, I just wanted to point out that I'm not throwing FR's in the trash, just setting priorities :-)

Most definitely. Just make sure all MY FRs are prior to everybody else's. :hihi:
