Been using audacity, but it hasn't been updated in quite a while & atill has some limitations (the limited vst functionality for one).
Anyone much experience with acoustica or goldwave?
Mainly wanting something just for destructive audio editing, whacking crazy effects on singleshot samples etc.
I know that i'd need to also get directixer or something similar in order to use my vst effects.
Goldwave also has fairly decent analysis tools also if im not mistaken?
Any stability issues or anything similar?
They're both around the same price (which is pretty damn cheap).

I really like the look of Goldwave. Haven't used it in ages but it has a slew of cool fx and good analysis tools like you say. It just doesn't have some higher end functionality like dithering and noise shaping which is a pain...
