I use LM-7 during recording casue it's light on resources. I'm looking for something that sounds better and has more different styles of kits that's still light on resources and perhaps even useable on a final mix. Any suggestions?

- LM-7 is a sample player, no? There are so many free samples around, can't you make your own kits in LM-7?
And does it really sound bad?
- try DR-008's samplers, there are lots of sample based kits for DR-008. DR-008 isn't free though.
- there is also a sample based Computer Music magazine drum VSTi.
- I dunno if this one's any good: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/39.html

You may also consider SFZ (free top sound quality general purpose sampler) and energyXT (everything and more - not free though)

I can't beleive that ppl actually spent money on the LM series, bad interface and even worse drums.

LM-7 is the simple drum sampler that comes with Cubase. The good thing about it is that it doesnt use much system resources but the included sounds arent that great. I don't want to get something like DFH cause it would use to much resources on my old system. So I'm looking for something kind of in between. It would also be nice to have some different kits and percussion and not be stuck with just one kit, like I am now with the LM-7. I hope everyone got what I was looking for this time.
