I checked out the demos and really liked what I heard. Any more info on the multi-format version?

Very very nice :).

Can you tell me about the different formats you will be offering? I see you have an NNXT logo on your page. I'm not terribly knowledgable in sampling formats. Is there any advantage for me getting the NNXT format over the regular soundfont format? Soundfont will let me use the library in other instruments (without reason). Any difference in quality? Thanks.

Oh, and do you do Academic Discounting? ;)

Thanks!

For now, you have to stick with SF2 and WAV-formats.
I´m going to convert the whole stuff to SF2 at the moment. They were all mapped in NN-XT.

Initially i will release the package as SF2 and WAV. Other formats will come soon after the release. They will include Wusik, eXT, Giga, Kontakt and some more.

If you want to (pre)order some of these formats you have to wait until their release.

Furthermore, there is (should be) no difference in the sounds at all. Most of the sounds use basic stuff like filter and ADSR. And there´s also no difference when using soundfonts or NN-XT files in reason. Except that NN-XT patches seem to load a little bit faster (on my system, anyway) :)

Dont know about discounting at the moment - i think the price is already very "academic"

very cool stuff, sonicfire!

One question: are you going to offer it in SFZ format as well? (for Cakewalk Dimension Pro)

Thanks! :) Dimension Pro has native SFZ support? Cant find information about that, but yes - i think so! :) Shouldn´t be to hard to convert them into SFZ!

Ya gotta forgive my gumpish state...I just realized
that the download was soundfonts..well DUUUuuuhhh !

But yeah...they sound really awesome...if I can
afford them..I'll buy them...but I have my
priorities...Golden Asset..and TC's Nebula..
and/or the Galaxy.

I will probably get it eventually tho..if the price
is right...Hint..Hint...LOL

Holy moly, Sonic! OK, you need to get clued up on Dimension for sure as it'll be the next big thing...esp. since Rene (creator of z3ta) is behind it.

For a start...head on over to the RGC:Audio forum here at KVR. That is Rene's company and that is his Forum...eventhough all his products are now under the Cakewalk hat. You'll find plenty of info (and Rene) there. I'm sure you'll be wanting to ask him questions, though, since you're actually putting a sample collection together + he will surely appreciate the support for the SFZ/Dimension format (and me too)!

Next...check out the Cakewalk forum as well as Dimension has already been a part of Project5 v2. Cakewalk is finally opening its arms and they just released Dimension as....Dimension Pro, which is now a VST as well!

If you read around the messages and posts regarding Dimension, you'll find that everyone is very happy. It's not as wide as Kontakt, but it's very stable, lots of features and very well supported by its creator, whom majority of KVR members respect and ALOT of potential.

RGC Audio Forum - check below at company forums here on KVR

RGC Audio website - http://www.rgcaudio.com

Cakewalk Forum - http://www.cakewalk.com/forum

Cakewalk Dimension Pro - http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/Dimens ... efault.asp

Anyway...I think you'll be impressed, but you need to dig a little deeper into what Dimension is all about as it gets deep. There are a couple of threads on here talking about Dimension already + one I even asked a bunch of questions and Rene and a few others were kind to answer.

Drop us a post on here to let us know if, indeed, you'll be incorporating SFZ...if so, I'll be seriously interested.
