Theres this one sound that Sci-fi shows used during the 70's and 80's. Its like a cliche now, but basically it sounds like a sine wave with a lfo on the pitch. Its sorta short. And its most commonly used with somebody moves something with their mind, or they teleport somewhere. Like a WoooiWoiWoi. I know thats a terrible description, but I dont even know where to begin looking for a sample of that sound. Somebody must know where I can find a sample of that

dude get my synths - Conform is a 70's sound effect emulator as well as a damn good instrument. Check out the EXTERMINATE!!! preset - tweak the strength of the lfo to pitch and poof! (click on dspaddict and join, it's in the files area.)

Its probably something thereminish. Try Mysteron.
An idiot on Set Theory:

It has a very wide range of sound - I think the sound you are looking for is the one i designed it to make though - seriously it's like you quoted me at the top...
(Conform = Sci Fi Synth) If you do find a sample of the sound you are looking for, I can make a patch on conform just for you....
