Squids - I know this is an IKMultimedia question, but I'm just wondering if you've heard anything....
Have you heard if the IKM products are likely to be Receptorised at all? Any rumours floating around?
I will ask IKM as well of course.
I'm toying with the idea of switching to Linux and possibly using Receptor for Windows VSTi....maybe....but it's not going to be a very successful move if I can't access my IKM products.

Ah - maybe best not worry. I saw some responses in the MUSE Receptor forum which kinda indicate a future compatibility with syncrosoft and a support of ST2.x.
Maybe I should just keep an eye on that forum instead.

Yeah, let's push the possibility of that. I'd like to see it too! I have a Receptor with Sonik Synth 2 on it and it's really cool. Just had it updated to the latest version as well. I might set it up to be my direct sound box for the Continuum Fingerboard. I will make 10 channel patches (hmmm or find a conversion utility that can take any sound and turn it into a 10 channel combi... hehe! Sounds like a job for the Chicken!
Of course, not like there's a big market for 10 Channel Continuuum sounds!
).

Hmmmm... I'm still wondering about Receptor. I have only had limited 'in person' experience with it, but its a great idea. I love the new Uni-Wire technology. It'd be cool to plug Miro into this thing, Uni-Wire that bad boy up, and go to town. Maybe the next time I have a cool grand to blow through, I'll pick one up.

Yeah - it would be great. Seems like you can't really use UniWire with a Linux system though....unless you have a Linux host that supports Windows VSTi.
Receptor's current incompatibility with some IKM products immediately eliminates it as a possibility for me unfortunately.

Yeah, sure! Why not? It's a nice piece to have.
Maybe we'll sell a version on esoundz that is preloaded with SampleTank and Sonik Synth 2. What do you think? that would be convenient I bet. I wonder if there is enough demand around here for that.

Have you looked into the Plugzilla unit? It's a similar kind of hardware, and also supports LADSPA plugins... it's a bit more expensive than Receptor, but I think plugins run inside of it without any special modification.Caleb wrote:Squids - I know this is an IKMultimedia question, but I'm just wondering if you've heard anything....

I'm using a hybrid studio also (Linux for sequencing & recording, Windows for plugins and various softsynths).
