It's coming. These things take time. There's a lot to it. AmpliTube 2 is not as simple of an update as some other products. It is quite a significant difference. But, there is no need for "lit fire under asses", I am sure the developers are working as fast as they can but you know they don't like to sacrifice quality either so good craftsmanship can take a little bit more. There are plenty of products that just do a certain thing, but not as many products that do something really, really groundbreadkingly well (if that's a word
).
Hang on! Meanwhile, I do know that at least some audio examples are coming soon.

Sorry to say its a bit of the "rock and a hard" place here...
IK is running a generous upgrade offer until Dec 1 (as I recall), but let's be honest - most people will be buying Amplitude v1 for the Amplitude v2 upgrade.
The problem is that even though the "special" price is very attractive, there is no demo to compare side by side with Guitar Rig 2.
Yes, the price difference is nearly half, but it still seems to boil down to a leap of faith. Like most people, it will have to be one or the other for me.
Its just a shame that the special offer is not on at the saem time all the new goodies are out.

the pictures did it for me (for AT2). and i mean pics of the software, not the chick with fake tits holding a guitar. plus i'm a huge AT1 fan. i have faith IK will come through. most all their other products kick ass.

Yeah, I can't wait. GR2 sounds great to my ears and if A2 sounds better than that, I'll be stoked!

Oh woops. Sorry Beardedone. There's some info and pictures in the past news on www.amplitube.com But the summary of it is that it is a bass amp and effects plug-in powered by AmpliTube 2 but the models are several popular Ampeg bass amps (including the old 8 X 10 SVT but also the expensive B15). It is really handy for people (most studio owners that is) who don't have any bass amp in their studio. This is a deluxe solution.Beardedone wrote:Can nobody tell me what this Ampeg thing is about?
I told Tony Levin about this (who uses Ampeg) and he was really excited. Also, the Rolling Stones use AmpliTube and I noticed they had a BUNCH of Ampeg 8X10 SVTs (and also Fender Vibro Kings and Tweed Twins... that's the Stones sound btw! Also the Maestro Fuzztone IS pure satisfaction
