Some time ago there was an indication in one of the posts that Muon Tau Pro would be upgraded to version 2.0. Will this happen any time soon?

I would never say never, but it seems unlikely. We changed our business focus a couple of years ago away from retail software and have been working 24/7 on stuff for AMG and other vendors since. Those projects are now close to fruition so maybe who knows what could happen next year! I hate to leave lose ends and I do have a soft spot for Tau Pro, Electron etc.
