oh......since you already have the WAV files sorted out - you'll just need to compile the SFZ file, so you're really halfway there!

That's another nice thing about SFZ/Dimension - is that the format..being basically just WAV files + a text file...and the script/opcodes Rene has developed for it - it allows for all kinds of possibilities....even more so than your typical "samplers" - so he says :)

Great idea, i think i will take a closer look on Dimension PRO :) Too bad, that there´s no demo.

Ok, i think i will definately put SFZ onto my list!

Dimension (pro or not pro) is just a player, but has no sfz editor. You'll need to manually compile the text files or use whatever sfzed version is the latest (rudimentary editor that speeds things up, not a graphical gui though, still all text). The sfz opcodes you find here.

p.s. 'just a player' referrs to the fact that there's no sfz editor, it's meant entirely value-free

Why is the demo an exe file? I thought it was just a bank of sounds? I don't know how to unpack an exe on a Mac.

Whoops - never thought of that - will make them available for direct download (without packing them)!

After listening to all the demos you have at your site and trying out the sf2 demos I have to say that while I love most of the sounds, I don't know if I want 3gb of them. The majority of the sounds for me at least will lend themselves to very similar applications in my music. I do often need ambient soundscapes, but not usually more than one or two ambient instruments per song. $70 and a bigish chunk of my hard drive is a bit too much for the use I personally would get out of your library. Also, I'm sorta a "do it yourself" kinda guy with my music and I feel like I should be creating my own sounds :). Maybe if you offered the library in two or three smaller chunks and had a discount if you bought all of them I would be interested in buying one of the smaller collections for a smaller price.

Spacehawk looks like a great product, and the price you've set it at is pretty great, but I'm thinking it might not be for me at this point.

(I'm sure $70 is great for people with jobs, but as a college student with no income, I have to make all my purchases count :) )

I think offering it in different chunks would have almost no appeal for anybody. In a set like this people want variety, and if seventy dollars is too expensive for something that you would love than you're in the wrong business. I can appreciate the struggles of being broke as well as anybody, but in this industry you won't find much under a hundred bucks.
