It's not free or available for download. You still need to spend money on an issue of Computer Music magazine. Frankly, I don't like it, and if you want to record Audio instead of use virtual instruments, you're in for a headache.
I noticed earlier today in an issue of SOS how much software is bundled with the 0404 and thought the same thing-- wow, decent bundle of software and they include a soundcard, too!
Amplitube LE retailed for $99, the same price as just the card. Not to mention editions of Sonar and Cubase. Deal of the century if you're also looking for an entry-level card.

That Emu card and software is a great deal for a $100. I had something similar whith my audigy, but more costly. What you get is just enough to make sure the card is working and give you a taste of what is available. But, what you find is you just want a little bit more and it just cost's. For a freeby Id go for Psycle. CM's Muzy, is good but it jumps regularly on playback? Tracktion is probably the best one to go for if you want to spend some cash.

Really? And I've got a Dell credit card. What I'd like to do is install the 0404 on my internet machine which just has a soundbastard live card now then install certain bits of the software package on my DAW. Wonder if that's possible? Off to the Dell site.......androidlove wrote:dell has it for $70. i'm up for the instalation headache

I didn't need Wavelab so I installed it on my net machine, works with soundblaster,
Cubase comes with asio drivers so that might be okay to,
amplitube is just the vst so it'll probably work anywhere to

Yeah, Kristal. Also, to go with it, download Seib's VSTHost and CTAF's MultiFXVST and visit Kjaerhus Audio and some of the other developers.offthewall wrote:I'm new to this game, but if it's audio you're after you can't go wrong with Kristal Audio Engine (free download). Sorry, I don't know of a free MIDI, or both compatable.....but wait....someone will ...soon!
