...that may already exist. Maybe someone can help me out here.

I am looking for a mix knob for individual channels in FL be they sampler or VSTi channels. I was wondering if there was a way to control the amount of signal to be sent to a particular FX channel. I want a part of the channel to be sent to the FX channel and part of it (unprocessed) straight to the master channel.

I am looking for this feature because I may have more than one channel sending audio to the same mixer track.

I don't know whether I was clear enough, so here's an example.

I have a one-shot synth channel and a 3xOsc pad channel, both sending audio to FX track 3 and then to Master. I only want a part of the pad signal (the amount is controlled by the mix knob I am talking about) to be affected by the FX chain in FX track 3 (and the rest to pass straight to master), and I want the one-shot to fully pass through FX track 3. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance to all who reply. :D

... ummmm.... of course you can do that?

I'm not quite sure what you are asking (because it seems too obvious) but try this:

1) Send the One-shot synth straight to FX 3. Easy.
2) Clone the "pad signal"
3) Send the original "pad signal" straight through to FX 3
4) Leave the cloned "Pad Signal" going straight to the master. Then adjust the relative levels of the two "pad signals" via their own channel volumes.

.... does that help? I'm sure there's an easier way, but again, i don't know what the f uck you're asking for help doing...

Yeah, of course I can do it with cloning channels and then assigning volume knobs of the cloned channel to the XY controller parameters. I was just wondering if there was a simpler way. :?

Maybe a mix knob for individual channels can be introduced in a later FL 6 release, or something.

ok:

1) Create presets for the plugins you are using in FX track 3, like "preset 1.fxp" or whatever.
2) Use a Send Channel (the ones at the far right of the mixer) and re-create your plug-in set up. Load all the plug-in presets so you've got exactly the same channel strip.
3) Use two separate fx tracks for the two signals, and in each one, you can control the send level. Or you can use the "send" FL plugin which might be better.

can't help you much more than that, i don't actually use fx tracks in FL- i do all my mixing in Cubase or Pro Tools =)

cool... I'll try this out later tonight. Thanks. Although the procedure does look kinda long-drawn, doesn't it?

How? By using FL as a multi-timbral VSTi in Cubase? Lucky you.
