so how would that work with the footcontroller?t-willy wrote:well, you get AT1 for $249 and AT2 free when you register AT1, but yeah its all the same money and products in the end (whenever AT2 comes out anywayseamoss wrote:so basically you can buy amplitube 2.0 for $249.00 (musicians friends price) if you purchase 1.0 right now?)

i'm guessing it'll just be a separate purchase, hopefully at a discount to AT2 owners, but we'll see. not sure if i'm going to get it though, i'm still pissed they didn't put an expression/vol pedal on the end. until then, the never ending wait game i guess......

If you have any IK product now you can get Squids' universal crossgrade price, which is even lower. In fact even if you don't own an IK product I think you could buy their least expensive product, register it, then crossgrade from that to AT1 for about $250. Of course the AT2 upgrade is free.

Last time I checked, Sweetwater has the AT LE to AT full upgrade for $179!!!! Guess I'll register this AT LE I just got with an MBox to eventhough I already have the full AT.

AmpliTube 2 is different in so many ways to AT1. DSM for instance makes a huge difference but also the additional models and components of the amps that you'll have. Hard to compare.

Just about bought Amplitude over the weekend but decided to wait, I'd like to hear it first, AT2 that is. Wasn't overly impressed with AT1.
I realize this has probably come up before but still, what are the chances of hearing it before the end of the year?

Well I am quite impressed with the GR2 demo. So I need some info' on what AT2 has. Does AT2 have standalone mode, comparable racks of effects e.g. octaver/harmonizer, a tuner and the tape player module. See, I would really like to know if AT2 is similar enough to GR2 before commiting myself and buying AT1 - I would only buy AT1 in order to get AT2 at a great price. I cannot afford both AT1 and AT2. I certainly cannot afford to buy Miroslav (even at the current price break) if I purchase AT1. If AT2 is not in the same league as GR2 I plan to get Miroslav and wait six months and sink my money into GR2AmpliTube 2 is different in so many ways to AT1. From looking at the AT2 website, AT2 does have a tuner and an octaver/harmonizer. A couple octaver/harmonizer's actually. A foot pedal and a rack effect. I was really glad to see that, because that's one of the features I really like about GR2. I think the distortions in GR2 are great too! But I have a feeling that AT2 will smoke GR2. Maybe I'm just an IK fanboy, or I readily buy the hype. (althoughy, I don't think Squids is going to bold face lie saying AT2 is unbelieveable when it really sucks)LOL But I know one think for sure, it's gonna sound better than GTR. I tried that demo I thought it was horrible. I think even AT1 is light years ahead of GTR. Just my opinion though of course.
From what I can tell, it looks like AT2 and GR2 have many similar features. I too hope AT2 has a stand alone feature though.
Question for squids. Will AT2 have a "talk wah" like GR2? That thing is badass!

Yes I see the info having gone to the IK website here at home (it would not have been acceptable at work what with the girlie pix upon opening the Amplitube pages). Man it looks really great! Though one quibble I have is thatI wish the hardware controller came with an expression/wah/swell pedal. -Though that is something I will need to add anyway.
Got to save money before the end of the month.
Cheers,
Gordon

I can't buy anything without at least first hearing it. Although I respect Squid's opinion & appreciate his enthusiasm I need something to go on.

Yeah, it's kinda vaporware right now (they did debut it and some here have heard it OTHER than Squids)...but, I get it free when it's a real boy Pinocchio
I have yet to see an IK/Sonic product that wasn't worth more than the asking price...

I'm not concerned if it's "worth more than the asking price" or not, I want to know if it's the best for my needs or not.Beardedone wrote:Very true!I have yet to see an IK/Sonic product that wasn't worth more than the asking price...
Maybe GR2 is.
