ok thanks alot, i see there are a few options that are available, as i know theres no substitute for a real bass player i want to get a close to this sound as i can, so i want to avoid loops, and attempt to play my own grooves, so maybe scarbee is the best option here

For Bass, the best library out is Spectrasonics Trilogy. The next best is Scarbee collection.

or you might want to check out UBK (ultimate bass kit) http://www.manytone.com/ and also their upcoming manyguitar, both very nicely priced
Nobody's a nobody...

...I have both - but while I won't tell this one would sound better than the other, I think Mark would be more satisfied with the Scarbee library as it offers far more articulations than Trilogy. Compared to the Scarbee library Trilogy is more something like a high-quality allrounder for bass (electric, synthetic, acoustic) - and I guess this was the original intention...

i have been told by more people into the same music that scarbee is best for this type of bass

might see if i can download a demo version for a quick trial

cheers mark

... there aren't any trial versions available - only sound demos and smaller downloadable versions at the web shop. If you aren't convinced by the sound demos (...can't imagine that...) you could send me a short piece of your mix without a bass track and a midi-file for the bass - I could send a small mp3 with the bass-track included back to you (...that way I hopefully won't violate Scarbee's licence restrictions...) - but give me perhaps the weekend as I'm busy with some work over here...

no idea, but I do most of joey negro's stuff used the same beat. :hihi:

to my ears they are pretty much standard house/disco beats.
