I know this has been discussed in the midst of larger xt threads (subhost discussions, etc.), but I would like to know how/why you use XT in FL (or FL in XT).
It is such a bargain and so cool...but I don't really need it: I should write more songs with what I have...but it sure is cool.
hmmmm, maybe I should hold off on this question until FL6 is out. (More flexible channel routing.)

I use eXT alot in FLS for several reasons;ouroboros wrote:I know this has been discussed in the midst of larger xt threads (subhost discussions, etc.), but I would like to know how/why you use XT in FL (or FL in XT).

1) for it's arpegiator and MIDI parts (which I can also use in my eXT projects),
2) to save/play MIDI files (you can do it in FLS but they are kinda buggy to save compare to native Score files),
3)multi-out instruments routed to their own FX )again you can do it in FLS but it's easier in eXT).

remains to be seen. i really wish fl6 would bring about some changes - multiple midi ins is one thing. easier midi routing would be another is absolutely necessary to me, though, and i don't know if that will happen. i'll just wait and find out, but i doubt fl will become as useful in that regard as eXT

I really don't know what's coming in FL6.ouroboros wrote:of the things you mentioned, won't #3 change with v.6 of FL?
But I like the overview I get in eXT as oppossed to a different mixer track for each out in FL.
