Whenever i select a loop to be viewed within the Slicer, i notice that, whatever track(s) within the arranger contain that loop, they will automatically "Lock to loop" (which i find VERY convenient by the way). Although, this does not happen all the time.
So my question is, how do i figure out if and when a track within the arranger will or will not automatically Lock to loop?

tbh, at first i didn't understand what you meant.
now i did a short test and know what you mean, though you described it a bit confusing. ;)

tracks don't GET locked to loop automatically when you select a loop in the list, the button just indicates that they ARE already locked ;)..

here's a little example how to produce the behaviour you described:
1. open a new instance of LS
2. load a loop to the list, as track 1 in arranger 1 is set to "lock to loop" by default, you'll see the loop there
3. add a second track to the arranger
4. select the second slot in the loops list and load another loop
5. click "lock to loop" on the second track

when you now switch back and forth between the two entries in the loop-list, you'll see the "lock to loop" button in the tracks being highlighted along.
as soon as you deactivate "lock to loop" on a track, it doesn't anymore.

Hi RAW, thanks for helping out.
What confused me was I just started loading loops and locked them to tracks within the arrngr and then I started switching between all of them and noticed the first four files of eight had the LTL button highlighted and the following four did not. I thought it was a bit odd since i didn't touch the LTL button on any of the tracks after locking them. I just tried it again and it's working now. Who knows, maybe the ghost that wonders around this place deactivated my tracks. Bastard!
