What is mastering, do you know special mastering effects? Are is mastering eqing and so on? If you know mastering effects please give me an advice.

As for your second question, Waves L3 is an excellent compressor/limiter for mastering; with it you can get significant and transparent (meaning the sound isn't altered in any way) increase in loudness (volume level).

A beginner doesn't have to and shouldn't care much about mastering because obviously you first have to learn how to make good music - a task which takes quite some time.

But when you start aiming at commercial releases, you should know about mastering so you can make your tracks as easy to master as possible.

hey thanks, i can´t release now songs comercial because i havn´t a Label, but i want do my tracks sound like comercial stuff.

Baniev, you have to check out AAMS. It will really help get your tracks to commercial level.

I have the old Waves L1, i have tried it just and i find it sounds good.

jivamukti the waves L sounds professional but i must say that the fruitycompressor sounds fine, too. It is an exclusive plugin of Ultrafunc that calls fxcompressor. To get best results i will compress with both.

I get as close as I can with native/freebie plugs and then frost it with Adobe Audition.

I rarely EQ in AA - I usually use it to get the track as loud as possible, and throw an edit via some cool fx here and there...

i find the EQ and compressor/limiter in T-RackS to be spectacular; much better than Waves/Wave Arts/iZotope or anything else

For reverb, I use the Timeworks Reverb 4080L.

Just pile on T-RackS or iZtotope's and you get good mastering

It's because of something called "taste," which we have in abundance here at KvR, but which is sadly lacking elsewhere...

colortone pro from tritonedigital
vintagewarmer from psp

(.. even though i have the UAD-1 as well ..)
