Sweet - buy this plug!

Now giving the ability to import & save images, along with ya notes!
I've been after this functionality for ages & made the request here on KvR a few times as well as at the ProXL website a while back... & here it is!

I hate that ugly clipboard graphic thingy at the top. I wish it was just a plain looking notepad type program.

Haydxn's TrackPad allows images as well, is infinitely scalable, cycles through pages with MIDI, and has a chord diagram widget. In short, except for WordPro features like bolding, underlining, centering, etc., TrackPad is more useful.

I combined the MIDI functionality with the chord widgets to animate a guitar part. When you play back, you can see where your fingers need to go during the part. It took more work than was needed (a simple ASCII tablature did the job just as effectively for my needs), but it was neat to try out, and it MAY come in handy some day.

However, that said-- $12.95 (that's the price, right?) is a bargain, especially if you DO want a mini-wordPro in your projects. Even if you don't use it that often, you get to support an independent software developer and get a neat-o tool into the bargain. I've given plenty of ~$10.00 donations to freeware devs, and you could always take a similar approach when buying this software. Think of it as a way to support independent software development.

track pad 3 alpha is workin fine here. it's easy to jot down notation in tab and cue em up with midi. i also like to insert pictures of hairless cats for inspiration

Trackpad is just for tracktion though is it not? Pretty useless to anyone not using that host :P

Edit: I jumped to a wrong conclusion....that's not like me *whistles* :P

it's designed for Tracktion, because that's the host i use, but it is a VST plugin so should work with any host. Some hosts are greedier with their keystrokes tho, and i've not learned how to get them all working (live and cubase in particular) but you can paste text in fine. It's only the actual typing bit (of all bits) that might be a problem.

That said, if you wrap it in energyXT it works fine :)
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.
