Hi I just recorded a clip with a sound in Amplitube I'm very happy with. It's a fast record before go to work. No metronome lol and sloppy playing. It,s just to show you the sound. Please give opinions about.

Not bad, maybe because reverb is close. I think it lacks some bottom end, and Eddie has less gain on guitar (if what you want to emulate is early VH sound).

Thanks all for listening. I really try to emulate the tone of EVH from a live video from David Lee Roth era. Anyway, when I play with this preset it sounds better, and dont know why, the sound after record in cubase changues a little.

I love hearing somebody playing the shit out of their guitar! Cool playing.
BTW, what happened to the guitar hero in modern music?

Mark's chops aren't all that bad. If you listen to some of the tunes on the Altered Bridge cd, he is quite technically proficient. He just doesn't play with the feel that Eddie did.
By the way I did a a/b of this clip with Eruption and the sound is pretty close. The only difference I see is a fuller sound on Eruption. Not sure what it would take to get nail that sound but it's as close as I've heard in quite some time.

Yeah, Mark Tremonti's fingers aren't all that bad, but his choice of notes is atrocious. The solo for that big Alter Bridge single is arguably the worst solo of that year.
The Eruption tone for this clip WAS pretty good, but in my estimation:
- a touch too much reverb, or just the wrong reverb sound
- a touch too much gain
- not quite enough mids

Well in reality I tried to imitate the sound of Van Halen live in David Lee Roth era and I think it's pretty close. I think not even EVH was ever got the tone of Eruption in concert. BTW I have now other preset with the sound of Sammy Haggar era live, with less brite and more warm. Amplitube is a fantastic emulator. With Guitar Rig I can't even dream to get a hi gain sound with this quality.
I have also a Steve vai kind sound (very very close), Frank Marino (with phaser of course), etc. All very good and all using Amplitube.
