We will soon be adding VST for PC to the list of available Auto-Tune 4 formats.
While a DirectX version has been available since Auto-Tune 4's release, it's our
expectation that the upcoming PC VST version will offer a superior user
experience. The VST version will provide substantially easier access to
Auto-Tune 4's MIDI functions along with smaller (and more consistent) processing
latency as well as automation capabilities.

If you are currently using the DirectX version of Auto-tune 4 and your host also
supports VST (as more and more do), we strongly encourage you to upgrade once
the VST version becomes available.

Auto-Tune 4 PC VST will be a free upgrade for current owners of Auto-Tune 4
DirectX. Watch our web site for news of its release.

Despite many here I have really grown to like this company...though I agree with some in the mic modeler thread...I just don't see it and it kind of suprises me as they are really more catering to larger studios who would have the mics :shrug:

But auto-tune is great and is just gonna get better I guess, and a free upgrade :love:

But I bet it's on Ilok only by then, right now it's a choice between challenge and response or storing the code on Ilok...I chose Ilok, with no regrets...:)

Ilok=pace right? But even with all the tales I heard here, it seems that since getting Ilok I have had no trouble. I couldn't code it at first, it wouldn't install the coding software. I kept getting "installation interupted" message...which I had gotten before with some other installers...but I sent it to my friend at Antares and he coded it (I could of just brought my other machine out of my daughter's bedroom and used it though)...since it came back the coding software works and the other apps I had trouble with (Desktop weather was one) installs fine now...so I think Ilok helped my PC.

But I'll get flamed for saying it works fine...someone will no doubt explain to me that Ilok is a scam for protection...which really matters very little in the long run for me...if it gets cracked it seems it's really more their problem (the software using the protection) then mine anyhow...but I have no complaint at all with it. But I don't keep it plugged in all the time.

Automation of auto-tune automatically makes me smile (sorry couldn't resist :hihi:) I am very excited about that as I was wishing for it the other day and less latency is always a blessing...:)

one thing thats important to remember is that I only have Ilok for vocal software, which of course is software that has a very specific purpose and not used daily, so I could run into such problems. Some people have suggested to me that Ilok is quite popular amoungst larger studios, mainly because they use computers that are for just audio work...no games, no internet, none of the plies of crap that come with a standard pc...I don't know if I believe that or not...I guess the jury is still out on that.

However receptor does have a usb port for Ilok (I don't have recptor). I wonder if the same issues exist with receptor...:)
