Most of my plug-ins use a library of vectorized commands optimized for the Windows platform. This library, in the same form does not exist on Mac. I expect that a 3rd party can translate the code easily enough (I can do this also), but I don't expect that they will develop a whole assembly based vector library for Mac. Yes, there is one on the Mac, but the effort required to translate from what I have to the Mac equivalent, is - quite considerable.ttoz wrote:I actually never understood this comment...and would love an explanation? Ok, they get a proportion of the sale, but why increase your selling cost?? Imagine there are no mac versions, even if your plugins are cheap and you only make half as normal on the mac versin sales isn't it still better than nothing, especially when you dont actually have to do anything?Space Boy wrote:
I have made a few enquires on 3rd party porting. In this case, I would need to pay a proportion to the 3rd party AND hand over my code. As a consequence, I would need to drastically increase the selling price.
On a low level, I am building up a development environment that may enable me to port to Mac eventually - but I have much to do to recreate what I have on PC.

These plugs are quite cheap. I would immediately buy the ones that are unique. Already owning Logic I couldn't care less about another convolution.
And yes, please, talk to Apulsoft. He ported a bunch of free plugs, so he can't be all that expensive

Besides, he's a nice guy from all the posts I've read of his. That and he slammed all the plugs on his site out in a few months, from about six different sources etc. so I assume he really knows mac and PC code well!TennesseeVic wrote:These plugs are quite cheap. FYI, if you do get these ported to mac, I would bet you sell a ton of the convolution one. As of now there is no cheap CV verb on the mac, all are over $500!!
I own Logic, but all performance is done in Live, and therefore a cheap convolution reverb, and inexpensive yet high quality plug ins are definitely still something I want outside Logic!
