For example, Vokator is awesome, but I think it could still use a little more artillery. I would start with the synthesizer. It can use more types of synthesis than just simple analog waveforms. Maybe they could throw some Reaktor-style components in there. It would still be synthesizer components, but at least both these additions would provide for more experimentation.
Another thing they could do is provide more options for the A and B inputs. In particular they need to share all of the options available for each one now. They could even do something similar to Cube, implementing complete control of the sound spectrum for both the carrier and the modulator.
