there is no tool to lock the bpm of a track to the host - you could try getting them the same but it'll be difficult to get them to match exactly for the duration of the track

snap your fingers and stomp your feet...

And then get a metronome.

DJ applications (Traktor, etc.) do a good job of finding out the tempo of a song.

dont forget to clap yer hands. *OR* you could try making yer own music as opposed to swiping someone elses whole song. :hihi:

u can tap tempo in fruity loops itself

Post

Get mixmeister, it's free and pretty accurate

i'm guessing deaneager means this: http://www.mixmeister.com/download_freestuff.html

mixmeister itself isn't free, but they do have a free BPM detector.

Post

cut out a couple of bars from the song - load the sample into FL and adjust the bpm until the sample loops smoothly - quick and simple ;)
eh?

yup, that's what I meant. I use it for any tracks or loops I want to timestretch to project tempo before importing.

this is exactly why fruity loops needs a user input for ho wmany beats a track is. then u could load it in say cool edit make the file a whole number beat wise say 109 beats then type this into fruity loops... im still waiting
