No idea about Sonar. Does it probably add some (hidden, or not so obvious?) mix option by itself?
It can't exactly be caused by the plugin, because it's working fine in the hosts I'm using (Cubase SX, Logic, Energy XT).

GSnap is mono only. I suspect that if you use it on a stereo track in some hosts, you could end up with only the left channel being processed. I'll add support for stereo tracks soonish, which will just mix the left and right channels.

Thanks for that gy.
Actually, I had a quick play this morning, and I had only just noticed (before I read your post) that only the left channel was processed, even if I only had mono audio; I suspect that Sonar treats mono audio as stereo (during processing) with the same data on the right track as the left.
There is a mono/stereo toggle on each track, but I'm guessing that it converts the track to mono after effect processing. I say this because when I select the track to be mono, I hear both the processed and unprocessed combined into one mono track.

Try to set the track to mono before inserting GSnap. In Logic that's the way to call up plugins in mono automatically. When doing it later on it won't work anymore (well, there's a trick, but that's beyond the point).

Thanks for the suggestion Sascha. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work.
As an afterthought, maybe it's the 'fault' of the cakewalk plugin adapter (rather than Sonar itself). However, I don't have another one to test it out. Ah well...

I'm having an odd problem with this in Tracktion 2.
When GSnap's GUI is up, the GUI for T2 freezes until I...
1. Close the GSnap GUI.
or
2. Click and drag the GSnap GUI around on the screen.
Either one of these allows the T2 GUI to refresh.
Other than this, the plugin works fine for me.
Really fabulous work here, gy! Works a treat!

Hi, I just discover GVST and can't wait to try them!
For the stereo version. Is it possible to treat the left and right channels independently? (e.g. right channel +5 cents, left channel -5 cents.) and add a dry/wet control? Somtimes i will do this on vocal mixing, it adds some space to the vocal mix.
Thanks for the plugs! gy!

Thanks for checking, Greg. It's probably a video driver issue on this endLunch Money wrote:I just tested and don't encounter this problem. I wonder what other factors are at play that might influence this behaviour.

I've also just noticed it happening with PLParEQ3.Lunch Money wrote: If it's ONLY GSnap that this ever happens with, I'd hesitate to blame it completely on the video card.
Not sure it's really worth the debugging time on this end. More of an inconvenience than nuisance
Sorry for the thread derail, Grant

Logic 7 comes with a quite reasonable pitch correction plugin.

Your'e completely right, Logic 7 PRO does come with the pitch correction plugin. Logic Express 7 does not... that's why I'm looking for a pitch correction plugin. My vocal tracks sound good. But adding a hair of pitch corection makes harmonies that much tighter!!! And that's a must for country/bluegrass which is what I do!Sascha Franck wrote:Logic 7 comes with a quite reasonable pitch correction plugin.
So if anybody knows of a mac version or a free AU pitch correction, please message me!
Thanks again.
J.
