I like the way you visualize the audio with png's.
Rekkerd.org the latest news on audio plugins, sample libraries & virtual instruments, synth presets & more.

Yeah, thats all automated when you upload a zip file containing wav's or uncompressed aiff's or mp3's
Also, if you click on those images you'll here a lofi mp3 of that audio file. Its all automated and filed in the database. I want to make it an audio content community, something for every producer at all levels of the music business. Obviously its new so Im trying to get a good feel of its strengths and weakness's before the site has 20+ gig of content.

Not at all. Site worked well for me: found, auditioned and downloaded a sample in about 15 second from the moment I opened the site. Might need more work once you have a larger sample base.cthmusic wrote:Is it hard to find where the download link is for the files?

The functionality is really great. Are those standard Mambo modules or did you custom build that stuff?
I also like the wave visuals, thats really slick.
Overall the look / feel is a little bland. But the idea and the functionality are awesome.
If you ever want any help sprucing up the header / logo stuff feel free to hit me up, I would be glad to lend some design assistance. (I am a designer by trade)
I wish you the best of luck and hope that the community grows!

Thanks for the encouragement! I custom built the component and modules (and database) for the site. Mambo + LAMP = wicked fast web application development![ xerocreep ] wrote:The functionality is really great. Are those standard Mambo modules or did you custom build that stuff?

The hardest thing about the visualization was having it support 24-bit wav and aiff files and still be fast! When you have 40 some odd audio files in an exs24 instrument that can add up to a huge load on the server if its done incorrectly.
