Squids, about a year ago you posted some Continuum videos but they no longer appear to be up.

They had links with names like: www.sonicreality.com/squidscorner/continuum1.avi

Any chance I can still take a look? I am curious what it can do with IK/SR products.

Thanks,

Adam

I think I took those down. But, those were crappy little mini camera vids. I will do some new fun ones coming up soon. We're going to turn www.sonikelementz.com into a sort of eZine (looking for writers btw... more for the hobby aspect than a job though or for promotion of your music projects or other endeavors). Anyway, I will do articles and videos that are fun for the whole family. I will do some wicked stuff showing what you get when you combine a Continuum, a Receptor and SampleTank 2.1 with a Stretch vocal patch! ;)

But, we'll also do some stuff on the new incredible Studio Profile multitrack drum loop projects. www.studioprofiles.com This is amazing stuff. I am listening to one of them right now (it's not even listed on the site yet but it is with Nick D'Virgilio who is an amazing drummer). I will have engineers on there talkng about the techniques, interviews with the artists and all kinds of stuff we've been meaning to get to and finally will.

Thanks for the interest.

Squids:

I'd like to write for you.

As a freelancer I've published articles in Keyboard, Electronic Musician, Guitar Player, and Mac User (which is no longer with us) among several others. I've reviewed software, been a music critic, interviewed a lot of rock stars, and other stuff. In another life I was also a publicity and marketing writer for Sony Music.

Oh, yeah, I'm a prog head. I've written and published interviews with Steve Howe, Steve Hackett, Jon Lord, The Musical Box, and King Crimson.

Please contact me and give me some ideas on what you'd like to see, and tell me more about your newsletter plans.

Sincerely,

There are some good quality Haken Continuum videos at the Haken Audio web site:

Included is a Jordan Rudess demonstration.

Hey that sounds great! Well, what have planned is a Quarterly newsletter that doubles as a catalog. Kind of like the Roland User Group Magazine meets the Sony/Sonic Foundry Catalog meets the Sweetwater ProGear catalog meets Digizine. Something that has our ads (and related company ads) has pages and pages of thumbnail catalog of our products and then to spice it up we'd have various articles, interviews, tutorials etc. somewhat relating to our stuff. Even if it is talking about music and gear it is related especially if it is about the gear we sample or stuff like that.

Then we would do dynamic content for the website: www.sonikelementz.com We built that place last year because we had this gig where we were playing with a bunch of awesome musicians (including Jon Anderson, if you're a proghead you'd appreciate!) and wanted to make a place for showcasing sounds and software in action.

It is more of a labor of love to start off with. But, you never know where it could lead. It is something a writer can use for some self-promotion and another avenue of expression. It could be fun, educational and helpful to a lot of musicians. Yet, at the same time it can promote esoundz as a resource and SR, IK and other related companies.
