Having seen some people reporting some odd plugin anomolies with the Cakewalk VST-DX adaptor for Sonar and Project5, I took advantage of the fact that Im rewriting my SUBSonar program quite comprehensively to knock up a quick little utility which will scan the registry for all references to wrapped VST plugins, and report them to the user.

It will scan for plugins listed under the older FXpansion versions of the adaptor, the older Cakewalk versions of the adaptor (without tempo support for effects) and the newer Cakewalk versions of the adaptor (with tempo support for effects)

Hopefully this will let people work out if any wrapper problems they're having are caused by out-of-date registry entries, or plugins possibly registered to different versions of the VST-DX adaptor.

DOWNLOAD

To use the program, unpack the zip file, and run the adaptorcheck.bat file. Examine the adaptors.txt file it creates for the lists of your wrapped plugins.

Please post any issues here. This code is taken from the ongoing rewrite of SUBSonar, so any problem reports are useful to me. Thanks.
